God wants you to spend time with Him in order to get more and more acquainted with Him in your prayer life. He wants you to become more and more sensitive to hearing His voice.
It is very important to be able to discern and listen to God’s voice. His voice is in His Word, and His Word is reinforced by the enlightening presence of the Holy Spirit.
